We are pleased to invite you to participate in the Alabama Clay Market at the 40th Annual Alabama Clay Conference.

We’ve specially selected ceramic artists from Alabama and surrounding states that represent the strong diversity, quality and creativity work that makes the Clay Conference and Clay Market such outstanding events, and have been active members of our artistic community and the Alabama Clay Conference. Thank you for your continued support.

Guidelines:

  1. The focus of your table should be your highly skilled ceramic work. You may also include a small selection of books you have personally written that are directly clay related, and any handmade tools. Absolutely no resale of purchased tools or books not created or written by you. The focus should be on your amazing work.

  2. Artists are required to deliver their work in person and be present to inventory it in, and pick it up in person. Don’t forget to register for the conference if you’d like to attend.

  3. Each artist will be provided with a half size table 8’ table, a placecard displaying your name and website/social media and tablecloth, with storage for boxes underneath the table. No additional storage will be provided, so your boxes must fit neatly beneath the table. Be sure to bring plenty of business cards, post cards or flyers, a small notebook to gather email addresses if you desire, and any risers or pedestals for your table. Not allowed - floor pedestals, panels that would block the view of other’s work, or any unstable structure. All work must fit on the table in a steady and secure manner.

  4. All work to be sold at the Alabama Clay Market must be delivered in person by the artist on Thursday Jan 30 from 10am to 4pm at the student center 751 Campus W Dr, Tuscaloosa, AL 35487 and be set up and inventoried in at that time, and all work should be picked up by 6pm on Saturday, February 1

  5. All work must be inventoried and checked in by Wes Bowen, our Market Coordinator. We will provide you with inventory sheets and stickers.

  6. Registration to participate will close on January 1st, 2025 and you MUST be registered to participate. We will not be able to accept artists that show up at the event without having registered by that date.
