In this workshop, participants will design, carve, and print woodcuts on silk and cotton fabric. Breuer will provide blank, flag-shaped blocks and guide students through the process of carving using both hand tools and electric tools. Participants will have the opportunity to print their designs on a variety of fabrics and papers and employ color and symbolism to make a personal or political statement through their artwork.

Artist Corita Kent's 1968 “Signal Code Alphabet” print portfolio will be a central inspiration for these prints.

Includes all necessary art supplies. Registration is limited to six students per class and masks are required at all times inside the studio.
