Canne will demonstrate a variety of handbuilding techniques to shape butter dishes, followed by creative decoration to make a butter dish unique and beautiful.

Canne (pronounced "Kay-nee") Holladay was born and raised in Birmingham, AL. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Auburn University with a BFA and from University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Master of Visual Arts Education. She is proud of her experience as an Artist Assistant to Deborah Schwartzkopf in Seattle, Washington, a Work Exchange Member at The Clay Studio in Philadelphia, PA; a Production Thrower at Earthborn Pottery in Leeds, AL. Currently, Canne resides near Birmingham, AL, where she maintains a studio proactice while teaching high school art.
