We'll provide a selection of commercial glazes [or sourdough?] specifically formulated for Raku, and guide you through the firing process, emphasizing safety and successful outcomes. Jack Marks is an Instructor, Social Media Specialist, and Photographer at Sullivan Pottery in Huntsville. He has been sharing the art of Raku for over nine years, drawn in by its spontaneous, sometimes unpredictable results. He loves how each firing feels like an experiment, revealing surprises that can’t always be planned. He considers himself a scientist of the art—constantly testing new materials, methods, and ideas to push creative boundaries.
